La Informacion es buena, el tema es que todo sea creible....... llevo tiempo usando Windows compre un 95 un ME y un XP (originales) pero hace unos meses empeza a usar linux y la verdad me queda como un sabor a que ya podria hace tiempo haber solucionado los temas de seguridad, compatibilidad y estabilidad que tambien es importantes. De todos modos voy ha seguir usando Windows, pero no se si las nuevas versiones justifican la inversion.... el tiempo dira!

Adhiero a la opinión de Guillermo; además de seguridad es imprescindible estabilidad del sistema operativo independientemente de las aplicaciones que se estén ejecutando y que pudan llegar a traer problemas, cerrando los procesos fallidos sin afectar en absoluto la funcionalidad del sistema operativo y otras aplicaciones que se pudiesen estar ejecutando independientemente de la que halla fallado, compatibilidad (en hardwares, softwares, etc.), y todo esto estimo vamos a poder evidenciarlo como bien dice Guillermo, cuando podamos ver y trabajar con el sistema operativo final y en distintas configuraciones de Hadrware. Es cierto como comentan aqui es mas estable y seguro.
Lo unico que observe por ahora son dos cosas.
Una. A medida que se van cargando las actualizaciones se lentifica un poco.
Segunda. Deberian sacar de los sistemas prepagos el Windows Media Center asi se pueden conectar los cables o tv de la region de donde uno vive. No se olviden que este sistema operativo va tambien a las regiones donde no se pueden abonar determinados sistemas por su costo.
Por favor sigan desarrollandolo para mejorarlo aun mas.

La verdad que me siento muy comodo con Windows 7.  Nunca me imagine que lo instalará y pronto, ya funcionando.

Nunca se ha caido, y no he tenido problemas de seguridad.  

la velocidad de proceso es mas que aceptable.

Su interface amigable, lo hace mas sesillos para aquellos usuarios mas casuales.

Como Fan de los sistemas operativos de Microsoft,debo decir, que es uno de los mas seguros y estables; manejando muy bien los recursos (muy importante). La compatibilidad de programas es exelente.
Actualmente uso la Beta RC de 64 bits.
Lo unico que tengo que objetar(por lo menos aca en Argentina) es que siempre he comprado originales y nunca he conseguido un descuento al comprar un nuevo . Eso deberia ser visto desde Microsoft.

Instale el W7 de la primera beta, actualmente estoy en la RC. Sin duda que el SO ha sido muy estable y compatible desde las primeras betas.  Realmente me ha gustado las optimizaciones que se le hicieron, es un sistema mucho mas rapido, agradable visualmente y seguro. Un aplauso para Microsoft y a seguir mejorando. Coincido con Julio en que estaria bueno que por estas regiones nos dieran la oportunidad de encargarlo con anticipo y obtener un interesante descuento. Bien por el post.

Si microsoft dice que es seguro debe ser porque es mas seguro que sus predecesores, lo cual sigue siendo muy poco. Habra que comprobar.
En cuanto a estabilidad, todavía no he visto ni un solo windows que no se cuelgue (y difícilmente creo que el 7 sea la exepción)

Lo más triste es toda la gente que "testea" el sistema sin recibir ni un centavo cuando ellos ganan trillones de dollares despues vendiendolo.

Excelente, el Windows 7 Ultimate, que lo tengo por cortesía de Microsoft, en sustitución de Windows Vista Bussines ,desde hace 2 meses me ha funcionado muy bien, nunca se ha caido  y tampoco ha dado algun problema.-Lo recomiendo para que lo adopten, cuando salga el 22/10/2009 el lanzamiento Mundial y no tendran problemas operativos. Desde Ciudad de Chuy, Uruguay, Sud América: GRACIAS MICROSOFT.-

despues de windows 98 creo que es lo mas estable fiable y velos que e probado ya que su antecesor vista fue un fracaso en cuanto a compatibilad de otros softwares y rendimiento dejaba mucho que desear pienso que windows 7 es un muy buen sistema operativo es estable dinamico y su entorno de escritorio es comodo y tiene un gran potencial de trabajo

En mi opiñon, si quizas, sea mas estable, pero nose si mas rapido, tienen que tener encuenta, que este sistema corre sobre maquinas mas poderosas, que en las que corria windows xp. Por otra parte Seven no esta del todo desarrollado por todas las empresas, en lo que a drivers se refiere, y mucho menos la parte de 64 bits. mas aun cuando no pasan ni dos años y ya sale un sistema nuevo.
Si prefiriendo Xp por su versatilidad, no por su "aspecto fisico"...

El sistema de microsft windows 7, es excelente en muchos aspectos, realmente nos permite a los profesionales de la informatica recomendarlos sin miedo a equivocarnos, es realmente un exito. Usa los drivers de vista e incluso virutaliza a la perfección los sistemas windows anteriores, logrando utilizar lo mismo programas a los cuales estabamos acostumbrados o tenesmos lincencia.- Es rapido de un agradable entorno, muy ordenado, muy bien pensado. Realmente estoy muy conforme que el nuevo windows 7. Por fin microsoft!!!

Yo probé el período de gracia del Windows 7, pero pese a tener la actualización gratuita en mi Notebook, hice un "downgrade" a Vista nuevamente. No me terminó de convencer, no me agrada la nueva visual sobre todo, la barra de tareas. Lo probaré nuevamente cuando exista un service pack 2. Saludos.

Para todos aquellos que tivimos el muy amargo sabor de probar vista, podemos decir que win7 es muy estable, seguro, y mas veloz. tengo la version ultimate, y un pc de casi ultima generacion, si asi podemos resumir. hasta ahora lo ke me viene pasando es que cdo tengo el  messenger y se me conecta alguien con el reproductor corriendo,se me traba el sonido. y bueno con programas algo pesados como editores de video adobe, se le llena el culo de preguntas, para ir al grano. cosa ke en el xp no me sucedia. asi ke o me cambio a xp o tira me pc de medio año y paso a una pc de 4.0 de 10 nucleos. igual vale el esfuerzo "bill" siga intentandolo. la proxima sera.

Creo que Microsoft ha hecho un buen trabajo. La mejora respecto de Vista es notable, el sistema es mas rápido, seguro, estable y super compatible. De todas formas creo que en lo que a interfaz refiere, si bien han mejorado, se han quedado cortos.. esperaba mas cosas, la interfaz es MUY similar a la de vista, y si bien funciona mas fluido y tiene algunas cosas muy utilez sobre todo en el manejo de ventanas, creo que podrían haber agregado muchas mas features.
Victor: coincido en que vista fue un fracaso, pero no podes decir que es lo mas estable desde win98!, por favor, win98 si bien en su momento fue bueno, era un colador!, se colgaba, tenia muchos bsod. Acaso Win2000 y WinXP (luego de sus SP), no fueron mucho mas estables?, yo creo que si.
Enrique: Nadie obligó al publico a ser testers!, eso es algo que decidió cada uno. Y yo prefiero mil veces que sea así y nos den la oportunidad de probar y opinar sobre lo que vamos a comprar a que nos encajen un soft mal hecho como fue el Vista en su momento. Repito Microsoft no te obliga a ser beta tester y tampoco tiene por que pagarte.

Lo estuve usando en las versiones Demo y me parecio un muy buen sistema operativo y muy seguro. Todavia no lo instale en mi notebook pero seguramente lo instale en los proximos dias. Espero con ansias la version full.

No pude instalar la primera Beta, demasiado problemas con discos en RAID. con XP cero problema, cuando salio la ultima beta me puse de nuevo a intentar instalarlo, en 64 bits no me funcionan muchas cosas, asi que pase a la de 32 bits. Tambien fue un problema instalar con discos en RAID, tuve que agregar un disco extra no en RAID para que ponga el boot de inicio alli y la instalacion en el RAID para aprovechar rendimiento. De esa manera se pudo poner en funcionamiento. La interfaz es igual al del Vista ( y eso asusta un  poco ). Casi se instala todo sin problemas incluso la placa de audio profesional. La capturadora fue un lio, y eso que es una Pinnacle. Ver TV por el media imposible porque no detecta el control remoto y no te deja instalarlo sin control remoto, tampoco se pudo mintiendole que no tiene sintonizadora, ya que sigue pidiendo el control remoto, aunque sintonize desde una video. Todo un lio y perdida de tiempo. Conclusión, sigo con el fiel XP ya que no se puede trabajar profesionalmente con el sistema, esta mas apuntado al entretenimiento y a los juegos que a lo serio.-

Insisto en el concepto de que los usuarios que adquieren Windows Original deberiamos tener un buen descuento a la hora de adquirir un SO nuevo, mas con con el corto tiempo de salida de uno a otro, no terminamos de comprar uno que ya salio el otro. Un garrón. (que hago con el vista?) ..Esta bien no me contesten!

Buenas, soy usuario windows desde la versión 3.1, pasando x todas las versiones esta el día de la fecha. Desde del 3.1 se prometia mas seguridad, mas velocidad, mas estabilidad, mas divertido, etc.... y... Si la gente sigue creyendo que una nueva versión de windows les va a realmente cumplir lo que hace 20 años vienen prometiendo... son unos ingenuos! Lo que hace microsoft como empresa, parece que fuera mofarse de la gente mintiendole y encima vendiendole una nueva version de una antigua promesa!!! Salu2

Yo deje mi Vista Ultimate  (original) para ver por que Microsoft nos apuro con un nuevo sistema operativo. Lo cambie por un Seven Ultimate 64bit y tuve un buen comiendo: puse el dvd y se instalo solo y con pocas preguntas, reconoció todo lo que tengo en la pc sin inconvenientes por lo que no fue complicada su instalación. Como quien dice: salio andando solo!!!. La interfase si bien como dijeron es parecida a la del Windows Vista, esta me gusta más… pero lo que más me llamo la atención cuando lo comencé a usar fueron dos cosas. Cosas que me motivaron hacer esta entrada: en un día normal de trabajo y con todos los programas que siempre uso, pase de usar 3gb de ram con Vista a menos de 2gb. Esto me llamo mucho la atención,  por solo cambiar de sistema operativo me ahorro más de 1gb de ram. Lo segundo que me sorprendió, y me hizo ahorrar muuuucho dinero, es que aprovecha mejor mi placa de video. Soy un adicto al FSX y no podía poner al máximo la configuración de mis graficas, escasamente lograba un 40% y a soportar ver un poco trabado. Con Windows Seven Ultimate las pude llevar al máximo y obtener muy lindas graficas y disfrutar más de mis juegos. Y por que ahorre dinero? Pues me evite de cambiar la placa de video. Tengo mil razones o chiches mas por que usar Windows Seven Ultimate 64bit… yo soy uno más que lo recomienda, aunque me si gustaría  que me reconozcan algo por mi Vista Ultimate que me salio unos mangos y no lo amortice aun.

Soy una persona grande y aprendi de grande a manejarme con este monstruo  que es la Compu.
Aprendi con W 95 luego 98,2000, xp,xp Professional.Vista
Pero no dudé en instalar este SUPER RC.
Pese a que gente con más conocimiento y manejo me recomendaba que no lo hiciera.
De mi modesta opinión y eso que yo no lo exploto en su total dimensión permitanme acotar que es fantástico, es veloz,seguro,jamás se me colgo.
A y les comento la fe que le tenía que lo baje sin copia alguna, derechito y no me equivoque.
Felicitaciones, se la merecen.

Ojalá los que compramos equipos con Vista pudieramos actualizar al 7 con algún precio diferencial, deberías ser para cualuqiera que utilice Windows la posibilidad de actualizar sin pagar el costo completo, a modo de reconocer la fidelidad a Microsoft.

Muy bueno es el nuevo sistema operativo Windows 7. Ya que se instalo sin problema y reconociendo todos los drivers de la notebook hp. Además funciona bastante rápido con los software y navega muy bien en internet. No pensé que anduviera tan bien, ya que esperaba alguna colgada por ahí.-

Desde que lo tengo instalado no tuve ningún inconveniente salvo que mi Impresora multifunción HP no tiene los drives compatibles con W7 (reconoce la impresora pero no el scanner).
La velocidad de arranque y apagado es impresionante y los programas que instale funcionan de maravilla (Autocad, corel, etc.).La navegación es muy buena y no se colgó ni una sola vez......Felicitaciones

En las primeras pruebas ,tuve la decepcion de encontrarme con menos drivers que en XP ,no me andaban los USB ,ni la red ,ni el video , ni el sonido , ni siquiera detectaba la lectora de CD.Tuve que arrancar con Ubuntu para bajar los drivers.Una vez instalado quise probar una unidad de cinta (cosa que antes podía con XP) con Backupexec 12.5 y con Brightstor 11.Como solucion tuve que crear un booteo dual e instalar XP nuevamente.EL booteo dual tuve que usar una herramienta de terceros, porque  la herramienta que trae el 7 a nivel de comandos  no es muy buena.Por lo demás es igual a Vista.

Hola, hace tiempo que estoy usando en mi notebook W7 Ultimate RC de 32bit, la verdad que para ser una version beta, anda muy bien, consume pocos recursos siendo similar y aun mejor la interfaz grafica en comparacion al vista, y lo que mas me gusto fue el compatibilidad con aplicaciones antiguas, por ejemplo un SQL Server 2000 anda estupendo cuando en vista ni miras, la verdad que estoy intentando buscar defectos y no encuentro ninguno, interfaz amigable...linda, super estable, funcionan todas las aplicaciones que le instale, y mejor aun consume pocos recursos

Probé la beta de 64 y la de 32, no andaba el sonido, el video iba lentísimo (y tengo bastante memoria y una placa de video más que aceptable) y ni rastros del driver de la placa de red inalámbrica. Si abría más de 3 programas a la vez (notepad y huevadas así) se comía casi los 4 GB de RAM de la compu. Con respecto a mi laptop, si bien es un core 2 duo con 3 gb de ram no hubo forma de hacerlo andar, parecía una carreta no un SO. Y no voy a cambiar la laptop porque no pueda usar la última versión de windows...
Yo me quedo con linux, es rápido, estable, fácil de usar y además, GRATUITO. A los que le piden a Microsoft rebajas, piensen q lo de ellos es un negocio, si les venden más barato ganan menos plata, y si hasta ahora vinieron comprando sin descuento, bueno, comprarán otra vez de la misma manera, la empresa no hace sistemas de onda, los hace para ganar plata.

Como usuario de windows toda mi vida, ya probar uno nuevo me parecia carente de sentido, ya Windows Vista, me parecio una decepcion, porque? pues simplemente porqu el sistema operativo es muy inmaduro, es lento y parecia siempre que fuera a explotar en cualquier momento, lo unico que destaco es la opcion de hibernar que es muy buena. Pero decidi igualmente probar 7, porque generalmente Micrososft hace una buena y una mala, ejemplo: win95 (bien), win 98(mal), win 2000 (bien), win me(mal), win xp (bien), win vista (mal). Esto es producto a sacar un SO inmaduro y apuradamente. Que note con win 7. Primero que nada, soy de los que piensan que para probar algo hay que dedicarle tiempo, asi que respalde mi info y lo instale solo como unico SO. En un principio el sist. me reconocio absolutamente todo, yo igualmente instale los drivers propios de mis cosas para mejorar aun mas la experiencia. Inclusive me detecto una arjeta capturadora pinnacle de video que no pude hacer funcionar en VISTA y que no me gustaba como andaba en windows xp. Ahora esta tarjeta la uso TODOS los dias, para grabar contenido de television aunque es cierto, aun no probe el control remoto, estoy usando un adaptador bluetooth con mi telefono celular w580, que trae la funcion de control remoto, entonces lo hago por alli, debo aclarar que las dos cosas las instalo solas, sin necesidad de drivers ni nada. En fin el sistema me parece sumamente estable, sumamente confiable y tiene caracteristicas muy buenas y utiles, lo unico en contra que le encontre fue el sistema de hibernacion, me parecio mas lento que el de vista y la parte de bibliotecas no te deja copiar "carpetas" a un mp3 por dar un ejemplo, hay que acceder hasta los archivos fisicos y recien ahi puedes "enviar a..." Pero, me resulto un buen sist. op. inclusive la parte de proteccion de UAC que ya no molesta tanto como la hacia en vista...sigan adelante y espero probar la version final muy pronto

Yo estoy usando Windows Seven hace ya varios meses y me ha pararecido un excelente SO. Soy usuario de los SO de Microsoft desde el DOS 5.0 y nunca he tenido problemas importantes con ellos. El Seven es de un diseño grafico impecable, amigable y seguro, ademas corre todo lo que le instalo, aun juegos que en Vista no funcionaban. Estoy usando el beta de 64 bits en una PC de mas de un par de años de antiguedad y no he tenido ningun inconveniente con los drivers ya que reconocio todo solito sin solicitarme ninguna toma de decicion al respecto. Una joyita de Microsoft.

Toda mi vida he utilizado Windows como fanatico que soy de Microsoft y de sus productos , y de todas las versiones me quedo ocn esta sin dudas, primero use la version RC 7100 en un celeron de 1.6mhz con 512 de ram, T. video de 64mb y no tuve ningun problema ni en la instalacion ni con lo drivers y ahora estoy utilizando la version de 32 bits y sigo super entusiasmado ocn este nuevo S.O, la verdad me da mucha confianza y tranquilidad en su uso, la verdad lo recomiendo constantemente a mi cliente y amigo.

Instale el Win7, parecio sensiblemente mas rapido que WinXP y Vista, pero tuve problemas con drivers de video de una placa on board. Por el momento lo tuve que sacar hasta que se solucionen problemas de compatibilidad.
Espero que hagan compatible hacia atras los drivers de los dispositivos.

He sido y soy usuario de Windows desde sus comienzos, y es evidente la mejora en muchísimos aspectos de este OS. Pero, cabe destacar sin dudas, el fiasco que ha sido Windows Vista desde la óptica del usuario debido principalmente a su “rigidez” y sus constantes preguntas al usuario para proseguir con una determinada función. Por suerte, W7 desde su Beta hasta la actual y operativa RC1, se muestra mucho más flexible y permeable a la instalación de software de terceros (no Microsoft).
Algunas versiones de scanners e impresoras aún no funcionan o no son detectadas correctamente por W7, como por ejemplo, la impresora HP Laserjet  P1005 que funcionaba en Windows Vista.
Desde mi punto de vista W7 debería incluir TODOS los drivers que FUNCIONABAN en las versiones anteriores de Windows, lo cual permitiría a los usuarios un considerable ahorro de costos en hardware.
Respecto de la seguridad en W7, puedo decir que le he notado una mayor robustez comparándolo con sus antecesores. Pero lo que aún presenta algunas fallas en su funcionamiento en W7, es el IE y el WLM que en forma errática mandan mensajes de error del tipo: “Internet Explorer ha detectado un error y se cerrará”, otro tanto ocurre con Windows Live Mail (WLM), el cual utilizo en reemplazo de Outlook Express, con mucha mayor confianza, dado que me permite filtrar el correo no deseado de manera impecable y también evitar las posibles infecciones de virus vía correo electrónico.
Otro aspecto que sería muy ponderado por los usuarios de Windows, podría ser el hecho de obtener mejoras en los precios de sus nuevas versiones, ya que son muchos los que han adquirido software original  y no es cuestión de ir apilando CD’s o DVDS’s de software obsoleto, que, en su momento, implicaron un considerable gasto.
Por lo demás, debo decir que el haber puesto en manos de usuarios el software que Microsoft piensa volcar al mercado para que éste sea testeado, me pareció una muy buena idea, puesto que permite ir corrigiendo, agregando o solucionando los inconvenientes que se vayan encontrando, obteniéndose así un producto que, al menos, ha pasado por las manos de quienes van a usarlo, generando de esa manera una especie de “compromiso” entre el emisor y el usuario final.

bueno aca va un poco de lo experimente con esta version de windows, la verdad que la instalacion es muy sencilla y bastante rapida ademas de que la interfaz es amigable. El tema de seguridad tambien lo encuentro bastante completo ya que hace por lo menos 3 meses que lo tengo y la maquina no tiene demasiadas infecciones. Otra cosa para el usuario final es la facilidad de tener todo a 1 o 2 click eso lo recalco mucho. Bueno de verdad hay que seguirlo probando

Realmente el w7 me parece un fabuloso SO, no es que era amante del VISTA, pero no me desagradaba, tenia sus cosas malisimas, pero a la vez fue el nacimiento de muchas cosas y un cambio en lo que es la plataforma WINDOWS, su interfaz, seguridad y agilidad.
Lo tengo instalado hace mucho tiempo, ahora me instale la RC1  en 64 y me anda barbaro, mas alla de no tener compatibilidad con algunos programas, los cuales son viejos y reemplazables.
Por el momento, lo adopto y le seguire sacando el buen fruto!

Bueno algo muy interesante de este S.O Seven es su alta flexibilidad en requerimientos de Hardware , he hecho una prueba pilot ,lo he instalado en un  Pentium 4 con un procesador 2.8 gz con 512 Ram , una vez instalado , lo que hice fue quitar 256 ram y funciono correctamente , algo que me  sorprendio ademas instalado el paquete de Office 2007 y ningun tipo de problema muy flexible.

Al nivel programacion no es mas que una reforma de windows vista, su sistema de archivos es  6.1 como el vista, la interfaz no es muy distinta al vista. supieron mezclar lo que es windows vista y windows xp muy bien aunque mis analisis todavia no llega a superar al windows xp SP 3 en rendimiento, si hablamos de sisteas NT. pero es mas seguro, cierra y comienza mas rápido.

En mi vision es bueno pero no es toda la propaganda del sistema maravilla que le adjudican, seria asi si logra sobrepasar el rendimiento de windows xp. Quizas con algun service pack en el futuro.

La verdad instale primero Windows severn 7 en ingles, tuve algunos problemas de drivers, despues se me desactivo y me pedia clave de activacion, es un windows que baja de microsoft, ahora instale un seven 7 en español, y me gusta mucho es mas estable que windows xp, es un sistema mucho mas operativo y amigable con un usuario con pocos conocimientos de informatica, y eso es bueno para nosotros los profesionales de la informatica. lo que si tengo un ciber y voy a tener que actualizar el hardware. suerte y nos vemos en alguna presentacion de windows 7.

Es increible que todavía haya personas que cuestionen los productos de Microsoft y pretendan compararlos con Linux, carecen de fundamentos y conocimientos como la persona que dice que no le funcionó el Windows 7 con Core 2 Duo y no se cuanta memoria, es que acaso Linux no se esfuerza por asemejarse a Windows en prestaciones tanto en SO como aplicaciones, para que quedarse con una imitación si uno puede tener el original.

Windows 7 es la frutilla del postre realmente funciona muy bien y por tratarse de una beta podemos decir que los objetivos están cumplidos, tanto en seguridad como prestaciones en el manejo , herramientas efectos visuales y entretenimiento es el mejor realizado hasta el momento. Con la instalación no hay inconvenientes lo he probado en diferentes computadoras y reconece casi todo el hardware que se instala, lo que falta hay que buscar y adaptar.

Cualquiera que lea este mensaje puede pensar que soy alguien de la empresa pero no vengo utilizando todos los programas desde el inicio, allá por 1993 y gracias a todo lo generado por Microsoft el mundo se ha transformado eso nadie lo puede negar y los demás que sigan participando así cada día habrá mejores cosas.

Bueno, hasta donde lo probe, el 7 funciona perfectamente. Yo no entiendo que problemas pueden tener aquellos que dicen tener una maquina de ultima generacion: he probado la maquina corriendo juegos nuevos y pesados, minimizando el juego para navegar por internet, bajar y descomprimir archivos y volver a jugar....y todo funciono de maravilla.

Carlos: estas muy confundido. No es Linux quien intenta asemejarse a Windows. Podria decirse que Windows tomo muchas cosas de los sistemas basados en Unix. Pero no te olvides que Linux tiene la interfaz grafica completamente separada del SO, a diferencia de Windows donde estan ingegradas completamente.

No voy a ponerme a comentar sobre el funcionamiento de win 7 ya que muchos lo han hecho, solo diré que me funciona muy bien, no tengo quejas ha reemplazado con holgura al XP y, sobre todo, al fiasco de Vista...
Solo quería hacer un comentario para todos los que se quejan que usan originales y deberían reconocérselo, claro que lo reconocen, yo vengo actualizando mis licencias desde win 3.1, he pasado por casi todas las versiones, salvo Millenium porque no me gustaba ni cuando salió y siempre he actualizado la licencia, nuca compré otro directamente, no entiendo porqué se quejan de eso, es decir: Yo tengo mil quejas sobre los servicios de Microsoft, sobre todo en el pasado, ahroa han mejorado un poco, no mucho pero se nota y, sin embargo el tema de licencias nunca fue un problema, yo fui con mi licencia de Windows Vista Ultimate y actualicé a Windows 7 Ultimate y me salió exactamente el 50% de lo que sale la licencia del 7 si lo hubiese comprado solo...

Por el momento lo considero muy superior a otras versiones de Windows lo he puesto en una Notebooks e-machine M5405 AMD 1.6 mhz Semprom  2Gb de ram y la respuesta es un 30% mas que Windows Xp .
Me satisface mucho el incremento de respuesta de mi notebooks siendo que es un equipo que muchos consideran obsoleto. Esto muestra la plasticidad de windows 7 ademas de su seguridad

Coincido con Cristian tambíen he probado todos los sistemas operativos de Microsoft desde el DOS al Win 7 rcm y tambíen Linux, puedo decir que en cuanto seguridad Win 7 estámuy lejos de los sistemas operativos basados en Unix, aunque debo reconocer que siempre windows fue el sistema opreativo mas amigable en cuanto a uso.

Me pareció excelente la compatibilidad del Win 7, la estabilidad, toma todos los drivers (casi), viene bien, solo una cosa no me gustó: no se puede poner el querido "inicio clásico", pero se puede personalizar bastante, lo del "XP MODE", muy bueno...lo estoy usando hace 4 meses, ningún problema, espero que su licencia no sea incomprable, espero la versión final.

hola, primero que nada, si hubiese salido este windows varios años antes no estaria tan enojado ni con ganas de romper mi pc, siempre queria tener lo ulrimo en mother, ram, micro, aceleradora, etc, pero siempre habia fallas con el maldito sistema operativo y cada 2x3 a formatear ya sea que tenga el depfreeze y bla bla bla, el mejor antivirus, etc.
pero ahora me cago de risa todo el dia, mes y quizas toda la vida, velocidad, no ahi cuelge, compatibilidad en lo ke hago, edicion de videos profesionales, estabilidad full, que mas puedo pedir de la vida.
es mi punto de vista y para mi es el mejor de todos, siempre y cuando tengas una pc de media gama o alta. bye

Tengo el Windows Seven en la PC. Si bien comparto la cuestion de seguridad (sobre todo contra Spy Bots), no asi la lo de la compatibilidad, mi experiencia fue de un 50 & 50 de aplicaciones compatibles, igualmente se lo atribuyo a la muy reciente salida del sistema. Como diria un amigo, "so far, so good..."

PD: Igual le falta mucho para llegar a los talones de Linux.

En mi PC agregué un puente entre la salida y la entrada de audio para poder grabar audiciones en checo, el idioma de mis padres, de radio por Internet. Todo bien hasta que quise hacer unas pruebas en Windows 7. Ya antes, programas antiguos no funcionaron,igual que en XP pero ahora me dijo que había un problema con conexiones de audio. Desenchufé el puente,pero igual Windows 7 no anduvo más.
